DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the 237th anniversary of the founding of Los Angeles with Los Pobladores historic re-enactments\, a civic ceremony\, artisan demonstrations\, live entertainment\, and free birthday cake! Bike or walk to El Pueblo from the beautiful San Gabriel Mission following the historic nine-mile route of our first settlers. El Pueblo Historical Monument is also proud to present a classic collection of vintage automobiles\, low riders\, and first-rate motorcycles on display in and around the historic plaza. \nFollow the historic route that was taken by Los Pobladores when they first set out in September 1781! Participants must follow all traffic laws and are encouraged to carry their own water and wear comfortable shoes\, hats and sunscreen. Join Metro Art Docents and some of the artists whose work is featured on the Expo Line for a free Expo Line Art Tour. We will meet at the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project Office and partake on a round trip ride on the system from the Crenshaw/Expo station to Union Station in Downtown. \nUnion Station also has a new farmers market every Thursday through the end of the summer\, so participants will have the option of going back to the Crenshaw/LAX Project Office or explore the farmers market at Union Station for lunch at their leisure.
