Fox 11 reported October 14, 2020 that the Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously to created unarmed response teams for nonviolent calls.
Their next step is to issue a request for proposal to find a non-profit partner to implement this concept.
The Los Angeles Times reports that the Baldwin Hills Mall has been sold to New York developers. The current owners had been criticized for not using part of the mall for housing which had been approved by the city with the previous owners. The future owners, LIVWRK planned to consult the community prior to creating any plans.
