PMHCC Hyde Park Resident Representative Robbye Davis and PMHCC Outreach Chair Tony Rice were on hand to celebrate the opening of the Heart of Hyde Park Mural with the community on May 4, 2019.

The community celebration for the Heart of Hyde Park mural was sponsored by LA Commons. It is located on the US Bank building on the corner of Crenshaw and Slauson. This historic mural includes community heroes, everyday business owners and artists. It was begun November 2018. Nipsey Hussle was added after his tragic death March 31, 2019. His Marathon clothing store is located just down the street.
MTA applied for funding with Transportation for America and chose this project to fund. They then selected LA Commons to administer this art project.
