We’re excited to continue moving forward with Destination Crenshaw and the construction of Sankofa Park. You may have already begun to see local residents working on the first phase of the project along Crenshaw Blvd. This phase of work includes conducting a storm drain bypass beneath the street, requiring Crenshaw Blvd., between 46th Street to Leimert Blvd. southbound to be closed. Leimert Blvd. northbound will remain open, with one lane available for diverted traffic. From June 28 to August 20, 2021, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Machinery noise is subject to occur Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Should you experience any issues related to construction or the project, please refer to the following contacts:

Destination Crenshaw Project Phase I Storm Drain Installation
Destination Crenshaw and PCL Construction Services Inc. will close Crenshaw Blvd. for Phase I of construction as needed

WHEN?
June 28 to August 20, 2021, from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

WHERE?
Crenshaw Blvd. will be closed between 46th Street to Leimert Blvd. Southbound
Note: Leimert Blvd. Northbound will remain open with one lane available for diverted traffic

WHY?
As a part of the planned improvements for the Destination Crenshaw Project, we will be commencing with the first phase of work to:
1. Conduct a storm drain bypass beneath the street
2. Implement a permanent traffic control plan on Leimert Blvd. with one lane of traffic northbound to provide adequate space for construction work
