The 2023 NC elections are coming. YOU SHOULD RUN!

We’re looking for a few good neighbors who are conscientious, community-minded, and passionate about our community.

You can run for elected office at the local level representing your neighbors. Half the board seats are up for election on April 10, 2023:

  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Parliamentarian
  • Faith Based
  • Youth/Educational
  • View Heights
  • At Large

Anyone 18 or older who lives, works, owns property, or is otherwise invested in our neighborhood’s success is eligible to serve.

Candidate Filing opened December 23. File by February 6 to run for a seat on the Park Mesa Heights Community Council and the chance to help shape decisions on land use, housing, homelessness, transportation, the environment, arts, and everything else that affects us.

There are 99 Neighborhood Councils throughout the City of Los Angeles that represent YOU and YOUR concerns at City Hall and local City Government. Neighborhood Council Board Members either run for their seat to be elected by the people in each respective community, or they may be appointed by the Board for vacant seats on Committees.

Many Local, State, and Federal Elected Officials start their journey on the Neighborhood Council, and so can you! If you would like to know more about the Neighborhood Council click the following link: https://empowerla.org/getinvolved/

Elections take place every 2 years. This year is election year!
