We have updated our plans to incorporate feedback received directly from neighbors and area stakeholders like you after an extensive community outreach process conducted over the last two years.

Most notably, Crenshaw Crossing now includes a larger number of affordable housing units at a wide range of affordability levels and more community-serving retail tenants that will include a full-service grocery store. In addition, a lot of time and attention have been focused on the project’s public realm to make sure that it will be enjoyed by the entire community.

“When Metro selected us a year ago to enter into an exclusive negotiation agreement for the property at the Crenshaw/Exposition station site, we pledged to design and program the project to meet the community’s needs,” said Jennifer McElyea of the Watt Companies. “I believe we are demonstrating that we have heard the community’s feedback and, as a result, our project has evolved to incorporate those elements that they felt were important.”

“We take our responsibilities to be a good community member extremely seriously,” added Belinda Allen, executive director of West Angeles CDC, “and we believe our plans reflect that.”
