Town Hall on EDD Building

The Hyde Park Organizational Partnership for Empowerment is hosting a town hall Saturday, May 2 from 1:30 to 3:30 PM on the subject of the EDD building on Crenshaw. As a result of District 28 Senator Smallwood Cuevas Senate Bill 572, the EDD building is now surplus property and proposals for its redevelopment are currently due by June 30. She has been invited to join us for this meeting. We will discuss that black unemployment is increasing, the EDD state funding services are critical and that there is an overdevelopment of housing that is not affordable.
