“It’s not simply voting, or going out and registering people to vote, but understanding the ballot initiatives and measures,” said council president Kahllid Al-Alim.
Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson reported on his work in Park Mesa Heights at the end of the 2017-2018 fiscal year. Projects he has been working on include: Community clean ups, Hyde Park Explosion community meetings, Vision Zero on Florence, Parking on Crenshaw.
Park Mesa Heights greeted Veterans at the Veterans Memorial Day Celebration May 19.
At this year's retreat we considered business development along the Rail and Florence Corridor, health and safety in collaboration with PMHC Wellness, PMHC Community Schools Model and alliances with local non-profits and faith based organizations. It was a great morning of visioning for our future!
