Baldwin Hills Mall Sold

The Los Angeles Times reports that the Baldwin Hills Mall has been sold to New York developers. The current owners had been criticized for not using part of the mall for housing which had been approved by the city with the previous owners. The future owners, LIVWRK planned to consult the community prior to creating any plans.

The Park Mesa Heights Community Council stocked and distributed 1,000 starter backpacks as go bags with an emergency blanket, glow sticks, hygiene supplies and information about emergency readiness and Park Mesa Heights Community Council. Black Student Scholarship

Black/African-American residents of Los Angeles, who are students already been accepted into an academic program at a 2-year or 4-year college, or a trade or vocational school, which will begin or already be underway during the Spring term of 2021 and demonstrate a financial need may apply by October 15 for a scholarship.
