At the September 2019 Congress of Neighborhoods the Mayor reported that the City’s Cool Pavement pilot program has generated more inquiries than anything else.

The City has been testing cool pavement across the City and on March 30, 2019 covered a street in Park Mesa Heights: Southwest Drive between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. The CoolSeal mixture is being tested in small sites across the city for effectiveness.

On hand that day were District 6 Councilwoman Nury Martinez in pink vest, President Pro Tem Board of Commissioners Dr. Michael R. Davis (Gentleman in blue suit), President Board of Public Works Kevin James, and of course Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson shown speaking with Park Mesa Heights President Kahllid Al-Alim.
