The Park Mesa Heights Community needs You!
We are having an election June 15 and need people who are passionate about Park Mesa Heights to run for seats on our Council and be the change you want to see in our community.
The following seats are up for election for a four year term:
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Parliamentarian
- Faith Based Representative
- Youth/Educational Representative
- At Large Representative
- View Heights Resident Representative

What do I need to know about running for a seat?
This brief 3-1/2 minute What It Means To Be A Candidate Video is a great introduction to running for a seat on our council.
We want to create a forum to discuss our concerns and work with our elected representatives including City Councilmember, Marqueece Harris-Dawson to develop solutions. Our goal is community improvement through civic engagement.
Candidates should be available to attend our monthly General and Board meetings and be active in at least one committee.

There will be a workshop on March 9, 10am at our own Angeles Mesa Library!
At a Candidate Workshop you’ll learn tips for:
- running a successful campaign
- connecting with voters
- advocating for issues you’re passionate about
- writing your personal statements

You may declare your candidacy by signing up on the Candidate Registration Portal starting March 2.

Who can vote?
Stakeholders 14 or older can vote. You do not have to be a citizen to vote and you do not need to register online ahead of time.

Candidate Filing Period: March 2 – April 1
Certified Candidate List Available: April 16
Election: June 15, 2019
