Apply for a Scholarship for Retraining

The fund offers scholarships to South LA residents whose jobs have been lost because of COVID-19. CORE will pay for enrollment and completion of in-person or online professional certification and training program that will be in high-demand as our society adapts to a new COVID-19 reality, such as healthcare and technology. 

PPE Unite for Small Businesses

PPE Unite will be distributing, free of charge, PPE items for small businesses (100 employees or less) throughout the County.

Train Testing & Crenshaw Closure

Metro’s Rail Operations and Walsh-Shea Corridor Constructors will be working on train testing along Crenshaw Bl between Slauson Av and 48th St. A full closure of all intersections of Crenshaw Bl between 54th St and 63rd St will be implemented starting at 7pm on Friday, November 20, 2020, through 7am Saturday, November 21, 2020.

Support Project 43

The Project 43 pantry is feeding 200 families a week and invites you to support their efforts.

Utility Grant Available

If you have lost income due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be eligible to receive a one-time, $500 check to help pay utility bills. Funding is limited. Online Applications accepted from November 2 through November 22, 2020.
