The Los Angeles Times reports that the Baldwin Hills Mall has been sold to New York developers. The current owners had been criticized for not using part of the mall for housing which had been approved by the city with the previous owners. The future owners, LIVWRK planned to consult the community prior to creating any plans.
SB 1120 almost passed the California Legislature and would have allowed duplexes on single family home lots, effectively changing the character of our community.
The Office of Council District 8 has received a notice of demolition for 6529 Brynhurst Ave.

A stretch of La Cienega Blvd between Stocker and Obama will be closed June 12-15, 19-22 and 26-29 for the construction of a 440-foot overpass linking Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook and Stoneview Nature Center across La Cienega Blvd to the Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area.
