Angeles Mesa Park Ribbon Cutting

The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks and Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson, 8th District, held a ribbon cutting to unveil the newly-renovated Angeles Mesa Park located in the Park Mesa Heights community of the City of Los Angeles on 48th St. and 8th Ave. on May 17, 2021.

Unions, Black Community Rallies to Save Ralphs Jobs

SCLC activist Allison Featherstone told the growing crowd “We are so glad to be able to help bring all of these organizations together.  We need to keep the momentum going to keep the store open and save the jobs of the 80 workers here.”

Apply for a Scholarship for Retraining

The fund offers scholarships to South LA residents whose jobs have been lost because of COVID-19. CORE will pay for enrollment and completion of in-person or online professional certification and training program that will be in high-demand as our society adapts to a new COVID-19 reality, such as healthcare and technology.
